At first glance the "Ladies", which were first introduced at the end of the 70's, resembled in appearance American standard models. However, on closer inspection they differ in all dimensions, radii, scale, design, materials, and methods of assembly. Hence the sound and playability is complete different. The "Ladies" shared the same basic constructions with other Hoyer models introduced in the late 70's and early 80's - multilayer through neck with mahogany wings. Like all Hoyer guitars they have a scale of 630mm. Very characteristic are the zebra bindings of the body, neck and headstock. Originally they were equipped with single coils but are now equipped with two humbuckers.
